Having worked in construction from a young age, a trip to the Americas with his now wife Beth, sparked his life-long passion for carpentry. Working alongside world-class woodworkers inspired him to head back to college and gain a City and Guild qualification in Carpentry and Joinery.

Once qualified, Will took on private jobs across the South-West, covering full-scale construction sites, to bespoke small-scale builds. Will saw first-hand the destructive nature of the building industry; he felt now more than ever that sustainability in the built environment should be the main focus to ensure a happier and healthier world.

Will then took the opportunity to relocate to South Wales with his family to work for a social-enterprise. He was part of a team who designed and built social housing, that were both environmentally friendly and sustainably built.

Recently moving back to beautiful North Devon to be nearer family and to raise his boys; Roots Carpentry is now offering carpentry work to those living in Ilfracombe, Barnstaple, Lynton, South Molton, Braunton, North Devon, and West Exmoor area. Combining his passion for sustainability, an eye for design and a truly professional service, Will is here to serve the local North Devon community.
